Volleyball Champions!
Well, I just finished another volleyball season yesterday, this time on a co-ed City of Gilbert league. Yes, I have to brag a little since we came in first overall for the season and then won the tournament as well. Congrats to my other teammates - Marci, Jordan, Jason, Gavin & Tom!
Polar Bear Swim
Zachary has been bugging me to go swimming lately and I keep telling him it is way too cold (It is a chilling 65 degrees!). Well, he kept asking and this past Sunday I told him to go for it. He stuck his hand in and proceeded to tell me it wasn't too cold. I told him to get his swimsuit on and jump in. So he did! Right off the diving board! I had a towel ready to grab him as soon as he got out of the water figuring he would be freezing, but no, this 3-year-old said he didn't need it and jumped right back in. He even convinced Austin to get in with him and they swam off and on for about an hour. Needless to say, I watched happily from the sidelines in the nice warm sun. Here is a little interview of the culprit and you can just see the mischief written all over his face. Gotta love boys!!!
Happy Easter!
Well, it has been a while since I last blogged, but thanks to some encouragement, I am attempting to get some new entries. (Thanks Erica!)
Here are a few pictures from our Easter egg hunt in Sedona. It was a great time and the kids loved it! They got to play with cousins & grandparents, go swimming, color eggs and do an Easter egg hunt. Then of course there was the new Easter games they each got from the Easter Bunny including the marble roller coaster for Austin, Candyland for Zach, and Hungry Hippos for Lance. Such a great tradition to have Easter in Sedona each year!

Yellowstone
Yes, we all survived the LONG drive back (a 16 hour drive - PHEW!)in one piece. I decided to let my children live another day. LOTS of bonding time for sure! We experience quite a bit of crazy weather while up there. It snowed a foot of snow while we were there and by the end of the week it was already climbing back up to the 70's. We had a lot of fun seeing all the animals and it was definitely a beautiful place I would love to see again. We did some horse back riding, canoeing and of course some siteseeing with all those beautiful views. Here's a few pics of our fun!
Kids Day
Kids really do say the cutest things sometimes. Yesterday, we were sitting down eating lunch when Austin asked me, "Mom, when is it Kids Day?" I had no idea what he was talking about. So, I asked him what he meant. He then proceded to tell me that when it was Mother's Day all the kids went up to the stage at church to sing for the mommies, then it was Father's Day and all the kids went to sing for the Daddies, so when were the DADDIES going to go up on stage and sing for the kids? (I guess he knows what a horrible singer I am, so he excluded the mommies from singing). "When was it going to be kids day," he asked again. I thought it was hilarious. He was so serious, but it was really adorable! I told him he was going to have to start it since there wasn't currently one. He was a little disappointed, but it didn't take long for him to get over it. He definitely made me smile for a while after that.

Summer Has Begun
So much has happened since the last time I blogged, so a few of the highlights: Austin had his last day of school, finished up his Tball season with a fun party at Amazing Jakes, Zachary finished up with gymnastics, Lance FINALLY made it through his swim survival course and can now float in the water. I finished up my sand volleyball season with 22 wins and only 5 losses. Jason has recovered from his most recent injury and is already back riding, then there was the Father's & Sons campout, Women's Conference, Memorial Day Campout in the backyard and a trip to Golfland (just to name a few).
Now the summer has begun with more fun times. Today Austin and Zach started their swim class and LOVED it. They are 2 little fish. They even went swimming again after lunch since they hadn't had enough. Austin practiced using his new snorkel gear we recently bought him. I'm not sure if he really gets the whole breathing under water yet, but he is having a lot of fun using it in the pool. Between my two fish and my new little crawler, it seems as though there is never a dull moment around here!
